Everest Children Education Fund

The April 18th A deadly avalanche on Mt. Everest claimed the lives of 16 Sherpas as they were preparing a route through the Khumbu Icefall for the upcoming climbing season. It became the worst climbing accident in the mountain's history.  This tragic accident is a reminder that along with the people’s dream to climb Mt Everest and other mountains, Sherpas and their families continue to bear much of the risk involved. Every year few Sherpas lose their life in different expeditions. In response, The Small World initiated Sherpa Education fund focusing the children left behind.

Himalayan Hope Home

Nepal is one of the major source country for women and girls trafficking Nepal ranked 5th in the Global Slavery Index and it is estimated that yearly over 15000- 20000 girls from Nepal( 42% of them are minors) are trafficked out internationally. There is no official record for the trafficking within the boundary of Nepal but we can observe those child workers everywhere in Nepal.
