Arhaus is a provider of unique, handcrafted furniture and decor inspired by the world. Arhaus product developers travel the globe, working with skilled artisans to create one-of-a-kind furnishings influenced by different cultures and design. These pieces are exclusive to Arhaus and reflect our appreciation for time-honored craftsmanship.

Founded in 1986 by father and son John and Jack Reed in the historic Flats District of Cleveland, Ohio, Arhaus began with a commitment to furnish a better world through respecting the earth’s resources. Arhaus never uses wood from endangered rainforests in the making of its furniture — timbers are either sustainably sourced or reclaimed. Nearly 50% of Arhaus product assortment is made from recycled materials like recycled glass, copper, and wood. This design commitment to respecting the earth still exists today, as Arhaus expands across the United States.

In 2012, on a trip to Kathmandu, Arhaus co-founder John Reed met with Karma Sherpa, the president of The Small World.  Moved by the organization’s mission to provide a safe haven for orphaned girls, Reed returned to the United States and shared the mission of The Small World with Arhaus employees. In just 45 days, Arhaus raised just over $26,000 for the Himalayan Hope Home. Today, the Himalayan Hope Home provides shelter, food, clothing and support to orphaned girls in need.

Arhaus continues to support The Small World and help Nepalese girls in need. In 2015, after the catastrophic Nepal Earthquake, Arhaus sprung into action, matching customer donations up to $10,000 to help provide earthquake relief for The Himalayan Hope Home.
