TSW France Nepal
In Nepal, girls' schooling is not a priority. Parents, mostly illiterate and unable to pay for school, have them working in the fields, at home, or with other people. They often find themselves married very young and have no opportunity to change their lives.
Edge of Seven
Edge of Seven works differently to provide opportunities for girls’ education in the world. Rather than merely building a classroom and celebrating, we learn from rural communities and they learn from us. In building up their own school ecosystem, we support their planning to make it last.
Kina Social Venture
Currently, our work focuses in Nepal – a country with tremendous cultural wealth and natural beauty but insufficient resources to provide basic education and primary health care to its citizens, particularly girls and women in rural communities.
Hope for the Nations
Hope Children's Home began in 1994 with the goal to raise Nepalese children in a loving and caring environment, who will grow up to be adults who contribute to the well-being of their country. When children come into the home, our staff desire to help them feel like they are coming into one large family.
Through our current ReCover Nepal program we are helping the families of Dhamku Village in rural Solukhumbu, Nepal to rebuild their homes and lives post earthquake. Solukhumbu, lies in a very remote mountainous region which creates barriers to its resident subsistence farmers’ ability to provide safe shelter for themselves.
Cairn Varde Foundation-Norway
Hvitserk has always emphasized to give something back to the local communities we visit. Through "The Cairn Foundation", Hvitserk and our guests support various aid projects in the destinations that we visit.
Porters' Progress UK
Our primary partner for these education programmes is The Small World, whose focus is on creating community-owned projects, working with local people in both the decision-making processes and in implementation. This means listening to their needs, bringing people together in meetings, and maximising local resources...
The Small World USA
In 2017 100 children from villages in the Solukhumbu were sponsored and able to return to school and continue their path of getting educated. In 2018 we need your support to help keep these kids in school. The Small World USA is looking to sponsor at least 50 of these children in 2018.
We have been continuing working with local community members for their children education specially focusing on young girls who are vulnerable & high risk of trafficking since 2006.
WideAwake.org is a non-profit collaboration working to increase the impact of overseas giving. 100% of your gifts directly fund the projects you choose.
Help for a Home
Since October 2011 Sander has volunteerd in two projects in Nepal. In the first project he has lived with the locals and built an atelier with them. This experience inspired him so much that he wanted to do this more often.
Our Earthquake reconstruction drive includes rebuilding the Janahit school, and 30 others in remote communities of Khotang and Solukhumbu districts. This will take us 3 years to complete. This year - 2016, we have broken ground on 9 schools already.
