Nepal ranks 8th globally and 3rd in South Asia for child marriage.
Approximately 5 million adolescents have been affected, including 1.5 million under age 15 — (UNICEF).
87% of married adolescent girls are out of school.
Girls who complete secondary education are 66% less likely to marry early.
COVID-19 has worsened dropout rates and early marriage risk — (UNICEF).

1 in 5 girls worldwide are married before 18 (UNICEF USA).
12 million girls marry each year before adulthood— (UN Population Fund).
