Nepal Flood Relief
To stand with families and children affected by the floods-providing immediate relife, restoring hope & peace, and supporting communities on their journey toward recovery .
We Are on the Ground
More than two dozen members of our team, supported by three relief pickup trucks carrying food and essential supplies, are working directly with affected communities.
We are coordinating with local governments, community leaders, and our long-standing tourism network and friendships to reach families and children who need help most.
As tourism professionals and grassroots community workers, Sanam Doka and I have spent decades building relationships across Nepal. Those friendships—and many cups of tea shared along the way—have helped us reach communities, navigate difficult conditions, and respond quickly.
We know these communities. We know these people. And we will be there for them.

Double Your Impact for Nepal — Thanks to Arhaus
Arhaus has been a long-term partner of The Small World for more than a decade, supporting the Arhaus Children’s Home, Arhaus Community School, girls’ empowerment, and education for hundreds of vulnerable children in remote Himalayan communities of Nepal.
Now, as devastating floods have affected families across Nepal, Arhaus is matching every donation to The Small World, up to $150,000.
Your donation can have double the impact. Your gift will help provide urgent flood relief to families in need while continuing education for hundreds of vulnerable children through The Small World’s programs.
Why The Small World ?
We are local, deeply rooted, and committed for the long term.
The Small World has worked alongside Himalayan communities in remote Nepal for more than 19 years. We know the people, language, culture, and communities we serve—and we have built relationships that allow us to respond when they need us most.
This disaster is deeply personal to The Small World. Our founders, Karma and Sanam Sherpa, have trekked through these communities many times, organizing free medical camps, volunteer trips, and trekking programs. Over the years, we have built close friendships with local families, guides, porters, tea-house owners, and communities along these trails.
Now, many of those communities have been devastated. Many guides and porters have lost their lives or remain missing, while tea houses and homes belonging to people we know and care about have been swept away. Livelihoods have been destroyed, and familiar trails have become scenes of loss and devastation.
These are not just places to us. These are our friends, colleagues, and communities.
Our team is already on the ground. We are working with affected families, local leaders, authorities, and trusted community networks to understand urgent needs and deliver relief where it is needed most.
Our role is about more than delivering aid. We understand the fear, sadness, and uncertainty families are facing, and we respond with compassion, cultural understanding, and care.
When the cameras are gone and the headlines fade, we will still be here. Your support helps The Small World reach affected families directly and stand with them through immediate relief and the long journey toward recovery.
